What’s it All About?

This is the third and final program to be implemented in our mission  to support performing arts organizations in Chicago.

Who is Eligible?

• This application is for performing arts groups that are located and provide services in the City of Chicago, Illinois. 
• This is for small sized arts organizations. Groups must have a current budget of no more than $500,000.00
• If you received a discretionary grant from us earlier this year, please sit this one out.
• Genres considered: Music (primarily classical), dramatic theater, dance, literature-spoken word, and film-digital media. These categories also include arts education endeavors, particularly youth arts programs. Not sure if your organizational qualifies? Send an email to [email protected]

What About the Timeline?

• Applications are available now. See below for access.
• Submissions are due no later than Monday, October 10 at 5:00 p.m. Central Daylight Time. There is no penalty for submitting earlier than this date. 😀
• Grantees will be announced in the first week of November.
• Payments should go out by early December.

OK, let’s get down to brass tacks. Exactly how much money are we talking about here?

The awards are relatively modest. Accepted applications will receive amounts from $1,000.00 to $5,000.00. $5,000.00 is the maximum. This is why we don’t even have an application amount in our application. Everyone is considered the same way and for the same award range.
